T'ai Chi Class
The ancient art of T'ai Chi (TIE-chee)uses gentle flowing movements to reduce stress and improve health.
A calming way to connect the mind and body, T'ai Chi is sometimes referred to as "meditation in motion". It is a graceful form of physical exercise and stretching with movements flowing from one to another keeping the body in motion.
T'ai Chi is beneficial for almost everyone, regardless of age or physical ability. It builds strength, balance, flexibility and vitality and is an effective tool in converting stress energy into positive productive energy. It has also been known to relieve or prevent arthritis, high blood pressure, back, respiratory and digestive problems, among other physical disorders. The paramount element is that T'ai Chi develops mental alertness and peace of mind.
Classes take place on Mondays at 5:30pm and Thursdays at 10:45am at Intrigue Fitness, at 9115 Trinity Drive in Lake in the Hills. Please call or visit the site to confirm class times.
