Marengo Settlers Days
You're family will have a blast at Marengo's Settlers' Days! Attractions include a parade, carnival, band competition, craft show, food, music and many other entertainment venues. The Settlers' Days Parade is the highlight of the 5-day event. The first Settlers' Days was held in 1971. Richard Mikyska and Jim Sweet gave the event its name. Dee Schafer designed the event logo, still in use today. In 1995, the Queen contest was reinstated after a long hiatus. Settlers' Days events are sponsored by community organizations which share in the profits of the event. The event runs October 6-10, and is located in downtown Marengo.
