2. “AESOP’S FABLE-OUS CHRISTMAS TREE”

COST & INFO: Play written by Michael Gravois featuring a dozen vignettes in which an ensemble of eight elves open 12 Christmas gifts underneath their tree. 3. CHRISTMAS IN HARVARD
WHEN: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 1
WHERE: downtown Harvard
COST & INFO: Event schedule: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. breakfast with Mrs. Claus at Kelley’s Family Restaurant; 10 a.m. Santa’s Gift Shop opens at the Starline Building and closes at noon for the parade and opens again 1 to 4 p.m.; 1 to 4 p.m. visit with Santa; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. crafters. 4. McHENRY GARDEN CLUB’S HOLIDAY FLORAL EXTRAVAGANZA

5. “IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A RADIO PLAY”

9. MODEL RAILROAD CLUB HOLIDAY DISPLAY
WHEN: through Dec. 28
WHERE: Prairie Lodge at Sun City, 12880 Del Webb Blvd., Huntley
COST & INFO: Kishwaukee Valley-Eakin Creek Model Railroad Club of Sun City will feature a holiday display of model trains. There will also be a raffle for three Lionel trains at 3 p.m. Dec. 23.
